You could help our neighboring department, Rist Canyon VFD

We received this email from our neighboring department:

Hi everyone,

We are reaching out to share some exciting news: Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department (RCVFD) is a semi-finalist for the 2025 Proper No. Twelve “One for All” Grant! We’re one of just 24 departments nationwide selected for a chance to receive a $10,000 grant, and the final 12 are determined entirely by public vote.

Voting is open July 1–8, and you can vote once per day at:
https://propertwelveoneforall.com/en/vote

We need your help:

  • Please vote for RCVFD every day during the voting period.
  • Share the link widely with your own organization, listservs, social networks, and community groups.
  • If posting on social media, tag @properwhiskey and feel free to re-share content from their pages.

A $10,000 grant would allow us to purchase a Brute TNT cordless extrication tool—vital rescue equipment for our mountain community. Your votes truly make a difference, as we’re up against large city departments across the country.

How to support:

1.       The Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department (RCVFD) is a semi-finalist for the @properwhiskey One for All grant! Your vote could help them win $10,000 for vital rescue equipment. Vote once a day through July 8 at propertwelveoneforall.com!

2.       RCVFD is proud to be a @properwhiskey One for All semi-finalist! With your daily votes July 1–8, they could receive $10,000 for lifesaving rescue tools. Support your local volunteers—vote each day at propertwelveoneforall.com!

About the program:
Proper No. Twelve’s One for All initiative is making a direct impact on the underfunding of fire departments across America. In 2025, they’re awarding 24 grants to departments like ours. With your support, we can bring this critical funding home to Rist Canyon.

We're truly grateful for your support in every grant effort you've helped us achieve—and for helping us spread the word—every vote and every share truly counts!

If you have questions or need media, please reply, and I’ll send you whatever you need.

With gratitude,

Lucy Corro (on behalf of RCVFD)
